• Anna Walter
    Visual Journalist

Anna has been a visual artist, including work in the area of textile design, all of her life. She is a formally trained artist who has studied at the School of Visual Arts and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

Her artistic world is one of symbolic personal-expression and encompasses both internal and external experience. For some years now, she has been doing, in part, visual journals; painting her experiences gives her happiness, freedom, and escape, helping her, for example, to get through my surgeries. Another theme has been New York City, expressed through constructions using everyday found objects such as coffee-cup sleeves and ace bandages. A third subject lies more in the area of freely invented spiritual expression and goes to a realm that is explicable only through the visual experience.
